2009 Tribute #29 in Seattle Times Top 100 wines of Washington

Paul Gregutt, noted wine writer and critic for Wine Enthusiast magazine publishes his list of the Top 100 Wines of Washington State each year.  What is unique to his list is that a winery may only have 1 wine on the list. We do not submit wine. Our 2009 "Tribute" makes the list at #29.

Seattle Met Magazine publishes a Top 100 wines of Washington State every year. We submitted 2 wines and both were on the list.  Our 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon #70 and our 2009 Cabernet Franc #75.  There are currently over 4000 wines produced in Washington State.

Paul Gregutt's Annual Best of Washington List

Paul Gregutt is perhaps Washington's most well known wine writer.  He produces a list annually of the top wines/wineries in the state.  A wine/winery may only be listed once.  Paul believes if the wine or winery makes this list then probably all the wine produced by that winery are worthy of note.  by doing this he is able to spread the recognition to the top wine/wineries in the state.

5 Star Rating - Highest Marks Given

The 2nd edition of Paul Gregutt's definitive book on Washington Wines is out. With over 700 wineries in the state, Paul does an excellent job of factual writing on the state's wine industry.

Paul is a long time Washington native and has walked the dirt of the state's vineyard like no other.  He reports on many of the wineries, grape varieties, and vineyards in the state and rates them with stars.  5 Stars is the highest award and only 20 wineries received that honor.  Fielding Hills is one of them. 

This book makes a great gift for the beginning wine enthusiast or for someone already familiar with wine.
